 Driving license permit application

Bring all necessary documents to the secretary personally!


  • 2x passport photos
  • You need to identify yourself with a passport or Finnish ID card.
  • Company Ajovarma Oy takes 39€ to process your driving license application. Bring 39 € (exact change in cash) with you when you bring other documents. We deliver your application to Ajovarma Oy. You don't have to go there at all!

If you don't meet the health requirements for the driver's license, you need a doctor's certification. You can read more about those requirements here.

 

If you have a valid passport or ID card and have given your e-signature at the police station, you can submit your application directly online. More info here!

 

Theory test

When you have done all your theory lessons and your application for the driving license is approved, you can book a theory test. You can book it from Ajovarma's website or you can call them. If you need help with booking, we are happy to help you! If you are under 18, you can book the exam 1 month before your 18th birthday. Remember to submit your driving license permit application early! At Ajovarma, you need certification for the course “Basics of the traffic” (you will receive this after the first course payment from the secretary). We can also share this certification for Ajovarma electronically in the system, so you don't need it in paper.

Once you have passed the theory test, tell it to your teacher or secretary. A passed test is valid for one year. In that time, you also have to pass the driving exam.

A driving license permit is valid for 2-3 years.

Driving lessons and driving test

You can have your first driving lessons after you have paid at least 300€. Each lesson is 50 min and includes feedback time. Normally, you will book your driving lessons with your own teacher.

We will charge for any uncancelled or missed driving lessons at our price list rate (80€). Cancellations should be made directly with your own teacher. Remember to cancel your lesson if you can't attend at the latest one workday before 12 o'clock. That way, your teacher can still get another student instead of you. Monday's cancellations should be done by Friday before 12.00. If you are not sure when your driving lesson is, you can check it in your Webauto account or call us. If you are getting sick, be ready to show the doctor's documentation of your illness.

Driving a school car on your first driving test is free of charge. Following the tests, we are charging 100 € per test for the car rental. You can find contact information for our personnel here!

Simulator drives

The simulator is in our office at Eerikinkatu 4, Turku City Center. You can book the simulator directly from your own teacher or secretary. If you don't know Finnish, English, or Swedish well, it is recommended to take a translator, such as a friend, with you.
