Risk identification training

Risk identification training (RTK) is a mandatory, statutory course of study for all students completing a category B driving license, both driving school students and those driving with an instructional permit.

The aim of the training is to teach the basic skills of a safe and responsible driver, as well as driving in difficult conditions, and to provide instructions on how to identify traffic hazards and avoid all kinds of risks in traffic.

You can find the prices here.

You can register for our courses here. You can choose any course starting next and the secretary will call you within a few business days to agree on more details and schedule. You can start the course immediately after we have contacted you or later, according to your schedule.

The risk identification training includes four theory lessons that can be completed in class or remotely online.

The topics of the theory lessons are:

  • Predictive driving
  • Driver-internal risks
  • External risks
  • Automation and the role of the driver

The training includes four driving lessons: some of which are completed on a simulator.

  • Risks of urban driving
  • Risks of road driving
  • Slippery Angel Driving Lesson
  • Driving in the dark

Some of these lessons are driven on a simulator at our office (Eerikinkatu 4) and some are driven in a real car, in a real traffic environment. The implementation of the driving lessons depends on the package you have chosen for yourself.

The purpose of the training is also to serve the student's own needs and develop the student's traffic skills. So make the most of your time with the traffic instructor by asking questions and expressing your wishes boldly.
